Alison has a particular flair and passion for Spanish Song and, upon receiving scholarships, has studied the Interpretation of Spanish Song with the mezzo sopranos, Teresa Berganza and Alicia Nafé in Spain.
She has received coaching from the pianists Julio Alexis Muñoz, Juan Antonio Álverez Parejo, Jorge Robaina and the late great Miguel Zanetti, and also from the guitarist José María Gallardo del Rey and Ernesto Bitetti.
Alison has performed in public masterclasses and concerts in the Manuel de Falla Auditorium, the Royal Music Consevitoire of Granada, Sala de Falla in the Real Conservatorio Superior de Música de Madrid and also had the honour of singing in Joaquin Rodrigo’s house in Madrid. In Mexico Alison has performed in the Conservatoire of Music in the State of Mexico, the Salon of “Juan Sebastian Bach” in Escuela Normal para Profesores, Pizza Mecha centro Historico, Los Nocturnales de San Miguel, the Cosmovitral, the Museum of Nishizawa and has appeared on Spanish and Mexican Television. Alison is passionate about bringing this little known repertoire to a wider audience.
